Why do rides have to be scheduled a week in advance?

Right now, we have a limited number of volunteer drivers using one fleet vehicle. Scheduling in advance helps us plan ahead and ensure your ride happens as smooth as possible.

How do I qualify for this service?

If you qualify for other FROM services, then you also qualify for the Transportation Program, Rides to and FROM.

To qualify for FROM services, you must live in our Service Area and make 300% of the Federal Poverty Level or less.Please see the chart below.

What hours and days do you offer rides?

Rides are available Monday-Thursday between 10:00AM and 4:00PM.We also offer rides to our Pantry on Friday Mornings ONLY.

What are the requirements for Volunteer Drivers?

Accepted Answer

To join FROM as a volunteer driver, you have to meet the following criteria:You must be at least 21 years old.You must possess a chauffeur’s license, or be willing to obtain it. (FROM will pay for you to obtain it with a guarantee of completing at least 5 rides)Have had an unrestricted license for at least 5 years.Attend a FROM Transportation orientation and training with the Client Services Coordinator and Senior Volunteer.
