Our Services: Food Programs
The Food Pantry is stocked with a variety of dry and canned goods. Families may come to the Food Pantry once per month and fill a food box with food that meets nutritional requirements, and that will last for 3-5 days. The average food box is worth approximately $70.
Most of the food is donated by individuals or local organizations. The remainder is purchased with donated funds. We gratefully accept your food donations at the Food Pantry during normal business hours.
The Food Mobile is offered in partnership between Second Harvest Gleaners and local churches. It brings perishable foods such as produce, milk and bread to Lowell once each month. The church sponsor for that month sets up tables, pays for the truck, and provides volunteers to distribute food. Approximately 100 families receive food each month through this distribution.
Food Mobile
The Food Mobile is usually available the first Saturday of the month, except August and December. It is open from 10:00am-11:00am or until the food is gone. See the local newspaper and cable stations for more information, or contact us for specific dates and times.
Current Needs
Our Food Pantry is stocked using donations of food and cash. We greatly appreciate your cash donation via our website. You may donate food by dropping it off at the Food Pantry during normal business hours. Please re-visit our home page current urgently needed food items.
